Magpul PRS AR-10/SR25 (.308) Rifle Stock-- this will be the newest version of the PRS stock -- stock photo shows the older version
Is your rifle’s buttstock giving your trouble, slipping off your shoulder or breaking during bad weather and rigorous use? Well even if you haven’t gotten to that point yet any experienced rifle operator knows that a good stock can make the difference between success and failure, a good weapon or a cheap one. Stocks make sure your rifle is steady, that it deals well with recoil and doesn’t slip during use. This is why one must have the highest quality of stocks during difficult operations. Rifles are dangerous enough even without cheap materials ruining your plans.
Magpul has created the perfect buttstock for the 7.62 NATO platforms, which has a longer handle charging throw than your typical rifle. This stock is the PRS AR-10, ideal for adjusting both the comb height and LOP without sacrificing any of the precision and fine-tunes feel a good rifle stock must have. You can either shorten the LOP by 0.25” or lengthen it by 0.75”, depending on your need. The comb height can be adjusted by three quarters of an inch higher. The aluminum knobs feature positive locking, but can be easily used to adjust the stock at any time, without any tools needed. The strong butt-plate and the steel adjustment shafts make this stock extremely sturdy and durable, taking the impact of recoil easily. The butt-pad is made of rubber and prevents the weapon from slipping during use, especially if the operator wears armor. The bottom Piccatiny rail allows you to use a monopod, sling mounts and provides extra storage capability.
The Magpul AR-10 includes mounting hardware for all A1/A2 rifles that have fixed stocks.
These are the main features of the AR-10 Magpul stock in a nutshell:
Easily mounted on a rifle-length extension receiver without the need of an A2 spacer. The extension receiver is not included in this product.
The aluminum plate butt-plate is extremely durable and can take recoil of up to .50 BMG easily.
The special rubber butt-pad helps you prevent the weapon from slipping off your shoulder, even if the operator wears armor.
Aluminum adjustment knobs using positive locking click detents.
Adjustment shafts are made out of black, hardened and solid steel and they are finished with a ferritic nitrocarburizing process.
The aluminum components of the stock are all finished with MIL-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2 hard anodizing.
The stout construction of the stock allows extra weight to balance your weapon and help with stability.
The Piccatiny rail at the bottom can be used, when the cover is removed, to add a monopod.
Sling mounts on the front/rear that receive a 1.25” sling loop.
So if you’re in need of a better sturdier stock you don’t need to look any further than Magpul’s product line.
